Now Showing...

Tooth #3! After her two bottom front teeth came in a couple months ago, the next likely candidates for teeth were the two top front, but Isabella is taking the non-traditional route as we see a pearly white showing through next to where the front teeth will be. We like to call it the "s" tooth. "s" stands for snaggle, or side tooth, either way she's going to look more like a 7-year old than a 6-month old. (Well, except for the baldish look she has going on)

On that note, you'll be happy to hear that hair is coming in albeit slowly. I don't see us needing to buy any clips or other hair accessories anytime soon.

I have a terrible cold right now and have been doing my best not to kiss Bella as much as normal. I was up last night coughing for about an hour...Jason moved to the couch to try to get some sleep. Hopefully it will clear up soon AND neither Jason or Bella catches it.

Baby news

My post today is inspired by the newest addition to the family, little Anna Catherine Crandall was born early this morning and we had the opportunity to see her today.

Motherhood has to be one of the most amazing experiences a woman can have. This girl of mine, well she is absolutely the light of my life. I wish I could hold on to every moment, every feeling... already my memories are fading...those first few days in the hospital, our first few days home seem like a lifetime ago. I'm amazed how much Isabella has changed, she barely resembles the girl we brought home from the hospital. To my great satisfaction Isabel is starting to resemble me more every day...sorry Jay!

Holding baby Anna reminded me far we have come, and how much we have enjoyed the journey thus far.

Has it been a month, really?

Yes, I know my regular blog readers are wondering whether I'm ever going to post again. Well, better late than never. The past few weeks have been busy to say the least, plus our computer went ca put. I started work at Lifetouch - this is a photography company - they photograph preschools, schools, churches, all Target and JCPenney photo studios...that is all Lifetouch. I'm working on some market research projects for the preschool division. It is going good, enjoying the people, enjoying the work. The commute you ask? Well, not so much (but I'll survive).

We had Isabella baptized a couple weeks ago. The picture is Isabella with her Godparents. It was a wonderful day with friends and family. Bella is 5 1/2 months old, I can hardly believe how fast the time has gone. She is growing so fast, too fast I think. I predict she will be crawling soon - she gets up on all fours - just hasn't quite figured out what to do from there. We've also introduced squash and green beans.

Jason has been working a lot over the past couple weeks. He was called out due to the bridge collapse, was out of town all last week and most of this week. How am I surviving? In big part it is due to my niece April who has been coming over at 6:00AM every morning to help out with Bella in the morning routine. It has been a life-saver.
